Haryana Vidhan Sabha Election 2019 Results and Vote Counting Live Updates: The stage is set for counting of votes for Haryana assembly election on Thursday with stakes high for Congress, which could not do well in the Lok Sabha elections earlier this year and also for the BJP, which is incumbent in the state. In Haryana, the battle is also crucial for regional parties such as the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).

Counting of votes is underway for 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana. With the most exit polls predicting a clean sweep for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana Assembly Elections 2019, the ruling party could be on course to making history. Around 68.3% exercised their voting rights in Haryana Assembly Elections on October 21, according to the Election Commission.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and his predecessor Bhupinder Singh Hooda of the Congress are among those who were leading from their respective constituencies, as per the early trends available.

Haryana Assembly Election Results 2019 LIVE Updates: It is a battle of prestige for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Manohar Lal Khattar in Haryana as counting of votes begins for the assembly election today, determining who will rule the state for the next five years. The BJP is looking to retain power, its hopes buoyed by exit polls indicating an easy victory. These were the first major elections after the BJP retained power in the Lok Sabha polls in May, winning 303 seats of the 543.

Khattar, a first-time MLA, is seeking re-election from Karnal, while Hooda is seeking re-election from his stronghold Garhi Sampla-Kiloi in Rohtak district. Kuldeep Bishnoi is contesting from Adampur as Congress candidate. The BJP named TV artist Sonali Phogat as its candidate to challenge Bishnoi.
